Configuring a policy for True Image Restore
In the following steps you create a policy to enable True Image Restore backups.
1. Copy the PRE-master-data-to-tape policy to create a new policy named
LAB02-test-TIR-and-synthetics .
The table below provides the detailed steps.
Step # Step details
1 Select NetBackup Management > Policies in the left pane of the
Administration Console.
2 Right-click the entry for the PRE-master-data-to-tape policy, located
in the All Policies pane of the Administration Console.
3 Select Copy to New… from the resulting menu .
The Copy a Policy window is displayed.
4 Type the name of the new policy, LAB02-test-TIR-and-synthetics , in
the New policy field.
Click OK .

The LAB02-test-TIR-and-synthetics policy is opened for editing in the Change Policy
window.
