EXECUTIVE SUMMARY, EVALUATION, AND PLAN 16 1. Executive Summary Provide below a brief overview of this project (for example, project purpose and justification). In November 2018, Corporate Facilities rolled out a number of changes and updates to the procedures for requesting building access badges. Prior to this, myself and hiring managers did not have a written process communicated to us. These updates will ensure a more efficient process for new employees to receive their ID badge. There are also currently 3 security employees on the ATL Security Admin Team involved in the ID badge process and require hiring managers and the Executive Assistant to communicate these requirements. This additional level of communication has caused confusion and delays. Reducing the process to 1 security employee contact can improve the process time and reduce the turnaround time for the ID badge from 7 days to 2 days. 2 . Business Objectives 2.1 Product Description (Solution) Reduce the amount of time that the Facilities ID badge is requested and then received by the new employee. 2.2 Business Objectives To improve customer satisfaction. The organization engages a workforce of about 46,000 employees dedicated to putting patients first every day. My project aligns with the organizational strategic goals and objectives because it is important that employees have access to get in the facility within a timely fashion of their hire date so that they are ready to put patients first.
