Electoral System - The U.S. System: Majority representation. ie) states allocated with 10 seats in the House of Representatives is divided into 10 congressional districts. Each district elects their rep, usually a democrat or repub. The person with the most votes wins that district and that seat in Congress. Socialization - The 2 parties have established dominance. We won't see a 3rd party win unless electoral college is changed significantly. 9. Describe the idea of party identification.
