in the Article 19 of the twenty-year vision document of the country.
7. Summary and Conclusions
The gap between the Iranian provinces status in terms of the level of development, based on the integrated
development indicators (economic, social, cultural, infrastructure, health), and using the statistics of different years is
evident in the studies of Jamali et al (2009), Tavakoli Nia and Shali (2012) , Ghanbari (2013) and Eshtiaqi (2014).
Here is the question: What are the factors affecting the formation and reproduction of the existing gap between regions
in Iran? One of the most important issues facing developing countries in the world is regional inequality.
