Ask if pain is felt. State “spine is straight with normal alignment, and no tenderness on palpation” o ROM of spine – active Flexion/extension – bend forward to touch toes, then back upright and slightly backward Lateral bending (side to side) Rotation of upper trunk (do the twist at the hips) to each side State “full ROM of spine is noted”
