that they wanted to join from a pretty young age. This means that recruiters in myarea were more facilitators then they were recruiters. In most organizationscandidates have to to sell themselves to get the job, with the military, recruitersusually have to sell the branch. I have realized through my past classes that themilitary poses a lot of really cool and different examples to numerous topics.-TaylorReplyReply to Comment

Thank you as well for the very good pointabout people wanting to join from a young age. This brings up a very solid pointabout applicants who approach a recruiter as opposed to recruiters often having toreach out to applicants in other career fields. It is almost sold to the applicants as ifthey are attempting to join a team and need to qualify for that team when in realitythe military really does need the applicant as much as the applicant needs theemployment or benefits. Thanks again for the response.HarryReplyReply to CommentCOLLAPSE SUBDISCUSSIONAshley AllenAshley AllenAug 8, 2019Local: Aug 8 at 2:11pm<br>Course: Aug 8 at 1:11pmManage Discussion EntryThe three jobs I selected was my job as a warehouse manager for a formeremployer, a supply chain manager which is a job I would like to attain, and a retailbuyer which is something I always thought would be a fun job.The first job I selected was a warehouse manager for an organization calledPerfecto. There hiring practice was to hire from temporary agencies. The employeeworks for 90 days to 6 months depending on the volume of production and needs ofthe organization. Once there was enough volume to support hiring the individual, they hired the employee. There was no formal job description provided. There wasno recruitment. The temporary agency did the recruitment. The pros of using
temporary agency is that the agency has the expense of interviewing, advertising, and finding the employees. In addition, the temporary agency has the expense ofworkers compensation. The cons of this approach are the organization did not get asay in who the temporary agency sent for the position. The second position was a supply chain management position. The RockfarmSupply Chain solution uses job posting boards such as indeed to recruit for theposition. The posting includes a job description that has a detailed duty andrequired skills for the position. The position requires an interview before hiring. Thethird position was Lids Sports Group for merchandise buyer and planner. Thisposition also used a job board for recruitment and an interview. The pros and consof the approach is the organization has control over the interview, backgroundcheck, and job skill testing.
