The objective can’t be what HAS to be learned, it has to be a way to DEMONSTRATE what is learned . Be specific, be measurable, be evident that learning has occurred. VERBS that are not specific (See verb chart with A, C, and P objectives) You state an activity, but not the objective The ABCDE formula- HOW to write an Objective A- Audience (who?) B- Behavior (What you want them to accomplish/do) C- Condition (Following the workshop, how long, when?) D- Degree (You must get a 75% or better list 7 drugs... 80% accuracy) E- Evidence (The proof- do this on a worksheet, on a quiz ) Educational Domains Cognitive Knowledge Recall and synthesize information Affective Change an attitude Psychomotor A physical SKILL is performed This is used the LEAST Self Contained Objectives (PERFORMANCE INDICATOR) Behavioral objectives Designate the specific behaviors to the target audience must demonstrate to indicate that LEARNING has occured.
