somewhat international recognition of its culture. In the 21st century, the pride of Korea in the K- pop reveal that with the K-pop promotes the revenue of the Korean government since the Korean markets are opened up (Beng, 2017). It also explains that the emerge of K-pop has created a rivalry between Korea and the other nations since these nations feel that their culture has been stolen by another which even goes further to take pride on it.
ASIAN POP CULTURE 5 In conclusion, I believe that national identities will continue to be important as cultures become more and more integrated with one another or preferably be hybridized through globalization. The reason behind this is that nations will be in a position to present a unique and fertile ground to critically re-examine globalization. In this case, there will be an enrichment of several ideas that may be used in the process of improving the economic and cultural sector of a nation. The relevance of the K-pop Koreanness is that it has generated income for the Korean government and made Korea to be famous and hence creating a platform for it to compete with other nations. It has also created international awareness to the Koreans through the exchange of culture and adaptation of culture. It has also created a platform for the women in Korea to empower themselves by singing, getting paid and winning awards. A good example is the Wonder Girls K-pop group that made Korea famous due to the awards that they won.
