SPECIFY WHICH APPLIES TO TEXAS AND WHY.a.The Moralistic subculture does not apply to Texas because it views government as a positive and necessary force. It has the purpose to serve the general interests or the common good & promote the public welfare a part from improving social, economic conditions. Then we have the individualistic subculture which states that individuals should be free from the intervention of government at all costs, which could be applied to Texas because of the distrust we have on centralized governments. Finally the traditionalistic subculture is the one that applies the most to Texas because it wants government to be limited to preserving the existing social order. 2.LIST AND EXPLAIN 3 WEAKNESSES ATTRIBUTED TO THE CURRENT TEXAS CONSTITUTION. BE SPECIFIC. MAKE MENTION OF THE HISTORICAL PERIOD WHICH CONTRIBUTED TO THIS.a.The first weakness is how specific this constitution is. Being written in the era of cowboys and cattle drivers, the language and context of the constitutions might be out
of context from the modern world in which we live today. Second, the current constitution reflects the desire of the framers to eliminate the last vestiges of reconstruction, rather than the goal of writing a long-lasting constitution. Being the second longest constitution in the United States, this constitution is extremely difficult tounderstand and apply. It also limits government in a very severe way, limiting legislators sessions as limited as to 140 days every other year. 3.EXPLAIN THE CONCEPT THAT IS REPRESENTATION WITHIN DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT. MORE SPECIFICALLY, DEFINE A DELEGATE, TRUSTEE, AND POLITICO.a.The concept of a delegate approach refers to an elected officer whose purpose is to satisfy and accomplish all the wishes from the majority that voted from him. In contrast, the trustee approach refers to the elected officer ruling according to what he or she thinks is the best to the people. The voters trust him that he or she has more knowledge and that may use that to govern in a better way. Finally, the politico approach is said to be a combination between the two mentioned approaches. Therefore, in this approach the officer will do what the majority wants in some cases and will follow his or her knowledge in some other ones.
