I had to repeat this twenty times and in end I had to find the coefficient of friction for each trail. I had to use tangent ( c ¿ = μ s to find the coefficient of friction for each trail.

Then I had to find the average coefficient of friction for all of the twenty trails by adding μ s of each trail and then dividing it by 20. I got the standard deviation for the data from excel. St Dev= .10 I then had to find the contribution from scale ESU by multiplying the uncertainty of degree which was given as ½ times .02.
I had to write the uncertainty in the values of μ s due the uncertainty in the angel scale μ s in standard form: 73 +/- .01 I had to then find the percent error for this data. error = .73 .5 .5 x 100 = 28.57 For the second experiment, I had to first get the mass of the cork block. m B = 90 g I had to attach a string to the cork and the hanger so, I could add weight on the hanger to determine the force needed to move the block. I had to record the critical mass for each trail.

### What students are saying

• As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

• I cannot even describe how much Course Hero helped me this summer. It’s truly become something I can always rely on and help me. In the end, I was not only able to survive summer classes, but I was able to thrive thanks to Course Hero.

Dana University of Pennsylvania ‘17, Course Hero Intern

• The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
