Flourishing at this point is either dependent on that individual's perspective or that of a group. The perspective will more than likely be determined based on some level of success or what is believed to be successful. PART TWO: THE FALL - NOW Consider how the fall and humanity's exposure to good and evil are seen in the way some people treat themselves and others in dehumanizing ways today (examples: abuse, addiction, bullying, domestic violence, eating disorders, human trafficking, pornography, poverty, racism, vandalism, etc.). Choose one act of dehumanization and write the script for a short TV public service announcement in 350-650 words. Use at least two different sources from the GCU Library cited in the text and listed below in the list of references. Include the following: Highlight how the act of dehumanization is evident in the world today. Provide solid ideas for prevention. Include statistics, causes, and impact on people (victim, perpetrator, others as appropriate). Discuss how a God-centered worldview contributes to a solution. Include notes within the script about the images and videos that would be included when shooting the commercial. From the topic materials, view the two examples of a public service announcement: 1. Write your paper below: Merriam Webster defines dehumanization as “:to deprive (someone or something) of human qualities, personality, or dignity: such as a: to subject (someone, such as a prisoner) to conditions or treatment that are inhuman or degrading b: to address or portray (someone) in a way that obscures or demeans that person's humanity or individuality c: to remove or reduce human involvement or interaction in (something, such as a process or place)”. The definition provided brings to mind slavery. Slavery comes to mind because this is exactly what was done to people in and from Africa. Most people think that Slavery is over and does not exist today. Slavery does exist today as it is a form of human trafficking. The Homeland Security site - campaign/what-human-trafficking, it states that “Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act”.
