This is a source that help guides the business in which route it will take. It doesnot matter rather it is a not-for-profit or a for-profit organization, the goal is to determine if the business is going to survive. A strategic plan is put into place to prepare the business for future goals, and any issues that way come about. The organization must prepare itself issues that are controllable or uncontrollable issues. The organization must implement strategies that will deal with the situation. The execution of the organization’s strategy and the development strategic plan, they are the two interrelated activities that are very much part of the dynamic strategic planning process, (Buchbinder & Shanks, 2011). “The development if the plan usually spans a multi-year time horizon… and is updated annually,” (Buchbinder &Shanks, 2011). Strategic planning shows how the organization is working with the different market factors and any possible threats or opportunities that the organization may want to address. Involving physicians in the strategic planning is important. Strategic planning in the health care organization is necessary in order for the organization to meet the limitations of a lean economy, the rapid changing technology, and the unprecedented that is needed to provide the quality care at an affordable price.
