being the youngest and the most stable child for both my parents, I never really had time to let loose and allow myself to break down or let my emotions flow so I guess that’s me managing my emotions. Finally is my personality assessment which showed me so much. Earlier I mentioned that I am antisocial, which is true, but that is because I live stay alone mostly, and I live probably 85% of my time in my mind, I am always thinking. My personality time is an “ESFJ” (Extravert, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging). I am an Extravert speaker, which is so very true. I find it so easy to express myself and share my thoughts when I need to. With this information, I am able to apply myself better to my work environment. I won’t fear the person I am and the learning capabilities that I have. My biggest take away which has been affecting me lately in both school and work was my learning style. So knowing this moving forward it will help with me understanding new information that is being presented at work, and how to apply myself better as well. Why are ethical behavior, social responsibility, and sustainability an important focus of corporate governance? Why do you believe some managers embrace this while others resist? What is the virtuous circle of corporate social responsibility? Identify an organization that has successfully embodied this platform. Corporate Governance is, “oversight of a company’s management by a board of directors” (Shermerhorn, 2014). Ethical behavior, social responsibility, and sustainability are an inprotance focus of corporate governance because without them a company would not be successful. Firstly, ethics is “a code of moral principles that sets standads of conduct for what is good and right as opposed to bad or wrong” (Shermerhorn, 2014). Having good ethical behavior ensure the company knows what needs to be done, and the right way to do it. They are able to make sound, moral decisions when it comes on to the company maintaining its success. As a member of management, each individual should possess this quality which will allow them to build long lasting relationships because other individuals will know they stand for what is good and right. Secondly, with social responsibility it is, “an ethical theory, in which individuals are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty;the actions of an individual must benefit the whole of society” ("Social Responsibility and Ethics | Who Is Responsible And Why? | Pachamama Alliance", 2019) . The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
