deceased, meaning there was solid attachment between the dead and the grieving. For example, one may experience a more intense form of grief if their mother/father/sibling died, and they would have a more minor form of grief is a distant cousin passed away. Another factor would be the type of death the person suffered. Natural deaths tend to be associated with a minor form of grief whereas suicidal deaths often cause very intense feelings of grief. Personality variables have also been linked to how an individual grieves in terms of their life experiences, ego strength, or physical health. One final factor to be considered would be social variables, meaning social supports like family, friends, and community. If one feels they have more outlets of support, they will be able to handle the grief better than when faced with no support after the death of a loved one.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
