Most homes require two incomes just to be able to pay everyday expenses, they, instead, end up spending a strikingly large percentage of their income on childcare so that they can continue to work outside of the home. (McCormack) It seems unfair that parents are being penalized financially for deciding to have children. There are so many families that are unable to find affordable childcare and are unable to find jobs that will pay them enough to pay for childcare due to lack of education or skills. Parents, today, must weigh the cost of childcare and decide whether the quality of care is more important than the cost of care.
