Pollan’s concept of green, healthy food by stating that Pollan is just speaking against the food companies without any research on the nutritional facts. Freedman pointed out that unprocessed and organic food is contributing to obesity in the USA. In Pollan’s book he stated that almost all the stuff prepared in the food industry are produced from corn he has dissected the fast-food meal and showed how much corn America is consuming (Pollan, 107). Pollan also points out that many cultures regulate the eating habits of their people. In French Paradox they usually eat unhealthy foods like chocolates, cheeses and wines, but they remain healthier than Americans because their tradition also provides them the guidelines how much unhealthy food one should eat (Pollan, 2010). Whereas in America most of the people don’t have such traditional guidelines on fast food eating habits and this makes Americans more prone to obesity. In another portion of his book, Pollan stated that the companies that are making processed food is cultivating industrial organic farms as compared to smaller farms in natural ecology (Pollan, 87). This has damaged our planet and increased the concentration of harmful chemicals in our environment. Pollen also pointed out in some places that the industrial food
