Voice over internet protocol (VoIP) – a type of broadband technology that offers convergence between voice and data networks, similar to video phone conference. Telecommunications transform information to data, voice, or video. Also, by light and electrical signal. Network- enables the exchange of information between end users across nodes and links. The internet - telecommunication network composed of interconnected computers using Internet Protocol (IP) Coaxial cable – used to transmit video, communication, and audio. Satellite communications - used to link telecommunications networks over long distances. Computer network - enables different computer systems to communicate with one another. Packet - a unit of data forwarded by a network. Bus – allows computer components to communicate.

Continued: Local area network(LAN) – a small network of computers that are interconnected within the organization or floor of the same building. Wi-Fi is part of the IEEE 802.11 wireless communication protocol used to connect devices in a LAN environment. Ethernet(requires specific hardware to function) is a computer networking technology of LAN. Before Ethernet became widely used in LAN environments for data communications, token ring and other standards like ARCNET were used. Ethernet is a packet-based data transfer standard that divides data streams into packets, not virtual circuits. A hub a network device used to connect computer devices together in a LAN. Wide area network(WAN) – a network connection of small networks, which creates larger network of computers of remote business campuses that are interconnected through the internet/cloud that extends over a large geographical distance or place. Voice over internet protocol(VoIP) a type of broadban application is a modern telecommunication technology that offers convergence between voice and data through the internet. VoIP has replaced telephone voice traffic. Telecommunication Network Protocols Is achieved by exchange of information through electrical, electromagnetic, or optical networks. Network data transmitted by devices and travel over medium. Data channel is established when streaming or VoIP a circuit is established. Protocols – a set of rules ensure quality and quality of transmission and reception, in which information is intercepted and understood Quality of service(QOS) – a method used to measure performance of data communications and ensure that communication are effectively transmitted. Transmission Control Protocol(TCP) – also, known as Internet Protocol(IP) is a standard communication rule of the internet. Protocol governs internet data network rules. File transfer protocol - a protocol used to transfer files from one computer to another.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
