the media device as well as the device the media is connected to, including the information about the CPU, Motherboard, RAM and other hardware component attached to the device. viii. Report Letter to the Professor (10 points): Write a letter to the Professor sharing your experience of what you learned by performing this analysis. Why this work is valuable? What was attempted, what succeeded, what failed? Note: For the Report Letter to the Professor, you can use the major action information from the Log of Forensic Analysis deliverable but should focus on the forensic objectives, attempts, and results of accomplishment or failure, followed by a reflection on what you have learned through the lab. Use a business letter format with at least four or five paragraphs related to the forensic work. Dr. J. Graham University of Maryland University College (UMUC) College Park, MD 25 th February 2017 Dear Dr. Graham, I am writing this letter to inform you about the lab test that was run on the VMware Virtual drive. The letter gives you complete details of the steps taken and results that came out during the test. The test was performed using Adepto imaging program in Helix Live CD. The test was performed on e 320.8 MB VMware drive that was connected using the SCSI bus. The image was created in the DCFLDD format using the MD5 Hash. The test was started at 07:09:09 PM on February 25 th , 2017, and was verified at 07:09:20 PM. The test stopped at 07:09:25 PM after an efficacious verification of the image. A Chain of Custody form was generated after the image was created. The form showed the details about the drive, the Hash, the user and image file format, along with its name. Once all the details were confirmed to be valid, a PDF file was created for the Chain of Custody form for prospect references. The lab provided an opportunity to perform tests on the VMware drive using the Adepto imaging program in the Linux environment. The lab test was very supportive in comprehending the uses and functions of Adepto, which will be valuable in executing forensic tests on the other media devices in the future. Yours Sincerely, Benjamin Mabeba, Jr.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
