objective view. There would be some moments when the view would become subjective as Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, the Chinese President’s daughter, or the mafia leader. Since this is an action movie it is constantly going. The stunts that are made are shots and so are the bloopers. Because of filmic time, the days in the movie go by at a fast pace. One moment it is the day time and the next thing I know it is the evening. There is cross-cutting involved in the movie whenever Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker go separate directions. This shows the different situations they are going through. Flashbacks are even brought up occasionally as Jackie Chan thinks about his past with his gone bad orphanage brother. movies is consistent and does not throw me off by adding something really ridiculous, like shooting lasers from the eyes. They have consistently involved the Chinese President’s daughter being in danger by getting kidnapped and placed in a life or death situation. So nothing really new is placed except for the different relationships between the protagonists and the antagonists. Sounds are added into the fighting scenes. It exaggerates the punches and kicks but it adds influence. When they dance to the song “War” at the end of the movie it is non-diegetic. The movement in time is constantly going forward with the exceptions to the few flashbacks. The action scenes become fast paced. This change in speed brings up excitement. I like the fact that Jackie Chan does his own stunts, It brings a quality to the movies he performs in. I like to watch
