b. Often times these community gardens are developed in existing food deserts in order to bring nutritious alternatives to community members who would otherwise only have corner stores and fast food as options CONCLUSION: 1. Organic Food is something we have all heard about but it’s important that we also learn about what it is, where it’s found, and who has access to it. 2. Grocery stores like any other store are subject to capitalistic influence and so their objective becomes self-serving 3. Our hypothesis was that we would find organic food to be predominantly in white and affluent areas. We discovered that while the numbers support that hypothesis, our research allowed us to discover the efforts in low-income communities to gain access to freshly grown organic options for themselves. Although, that effort still only makes up for a small portion of the organic food market, it is important to note because access to quality produce can have the biggest impact within that community that is often forgotten.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
