11. Additional comments, information, and observations: The KTEA-II offers equivalent alternate forms and the same norm group as the KABC-II. A decision to use the KTEA-II over a competing instrument with similar technical characteristics and comparable features may hinge on preference for the content and format. 12. DALE CARPENTER, Professor of Special Education and Associate Dean, College of Education and Allied Professions, Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC Personal Response: After reviewing this test and considering all that you have learned in this review, would you recommend that this test be used to assess the students that it is designed for? State why you believe that this test would or would not be useful in assessing this population. If this test could be used for the student population you are teaching, or hope to teach, please include that information and why you would or would not use this test. Page 3 of 4

EDUC 621 Personal Response ( 125–150 words minimally): After reviewing this assessment, I would recommend the KTEA-II, to be used to assess the students that it is designed for. I truly, believe that this assessment would be useful in accessing this population because the assessment measures all seven areas designated by the IDEA. This allows for specific identification and analyzation of student errors. Being that the exam has timed and untimed sections of the test, it allows for unhurried response in those areas that call for oral student feedback. This test would be useful in my current classroom. The alternative forms allows for continual measurement throughout the school year. This leads to necessary interventions and more opportunities to take the assessment. Page 4 of 4
