Establish health promotion in the community related to depression aimed at minority populations. Participation in local health fairs and other community events would be a good way to get information to the public. Establish an outreach program aimed at accessing patients outside the clinic or hospital to further recovery from depression. This would be beneficial for patients who have difficulty getting to the clinic for treatment. Members of the outreach team would meet with the patient in their home or other location. As a result, the patient would receive the care necessary to support their recovery from depression. C2. Evaluation Method In order to evaluate the effectiveness of group therapy versus independent therapy, patient data should be collected and analyzed. Goals would be set to include a period of time for which the patient has to reach a certain stage in the healing process. This information would also be collected for patients who attend individual therapy. The results would be compared for each group of patients. Differences and similarities in the healing process can then be determined to see if the group approach is effective or not. As a result of community health promotion through health fairs and other community events, there should be an increase in the number of minority patients seeking services for depression. An increase in patients would indicate the successful promotion of services and attendance at community event should be continued. 19

WUT Task 1 Data should be collected comparing the number of patients seen in the clinic versus the number of patients being seen through the outreach program. An increase in the number of patients seeking services outside of the clinic would be considered a positive outcome and the outreach program should be continued.
