Makeup exams are NOT permitted without official documentation (e.g. a dated d octor’s note, copy of police report for an accident, etc.) explaining your absence. In the event that a makeup is warranted (with documentation) the instructor reserves the right to require an oral makeup exam. Be on time ! If you are late on exam day you will only be able to take the test if the whole class is still taking their exam. When the first person completes and turns in their exam, (for example, the first person turns in their exam after 25 minutes) no one will be able to come in late and take the test. 3. Research Paper- 20% The final paper in the class is meant to be fun but also challenge you. Tie what you have learned in and out of class to a Hollywood movie portraying a type of victimization. After I have approved your movie selection, you will write a 5-8 page paper about how the material relates to what we have learned in class. We will also spend some time in utilizing the UMKC Writing Studio. More details are given in the final paper handout later in the semester but keep this assignment in mind and start thinking of possible films. A TTENDANCE P OLICY /M ISSING CLASS Makeup tests, quizzes, and assignments are NOT permitted without official documentation (e.g. a dated d octor’s note, copy of police report for an accident, etc.) explaining your absence.
