don’t agree with, or what we don’t accept. He goes on in this part to say that he thinks this “digital revolution” is the biggest cause of globalization. Going on, he continues about the digitaltechnology and communication and how there is reluctance in completely turning to the digital age. It matters how we adapt to the changes, to technology. For me, that was the biggest “take-away” from his Ted Talk. Globalization, in the aspect of “interconnectedness”, I think, as with most things, there are positives and negatives. I think that some of the positives include the ability to experience other cultural lifestyles and experiences. Being able to eat food from different countries or experience parts of different cultures can create a bond interconnects us. Another positive is that this interconnectedness can create a larger awareness of global issues and give countries a chance to help other countries. I immediately think of the earthquake that devastated Haiti. There were several countries that rushed in to help and I can’t help but to think that globalization efforts increased awareness, with news channels broadcasting updates and Facebook and twitter also giving real-time updates as well from different sources all over social media.
