Even with such a drastic conclusion taken out of the picture, we are poisoning our water and air and soil, and everything in nature which thrives off those resources like fish, land meat, plants, vegetables, and others. We, in turn, usually survive off those resources. We literally poison our own food and water supplies on the daily, knowingly, and still people refuse to acknowledge climate change as a serious issue. For such a selfish race, human beings are blatantly missing the biggest risk to themselves in the failing of earth’s ecosystem. Our extinction is a side effect of the earth ceasing to exist as much as we are a side effect of the earth ever existing in the first place, and no action is being taken on the options we currently have to at least slow the decomposition of our planet. Every day that we do not take action is a day we force ourselves closer to extinction.
There are a variety of things we can do as a species to take action on this pressing matter. For starters, we need to take advantage of and implement renewable energy resources, and stop burning fossil fuels and other things that will cause further damage. Solar panels and wind
