Her body was not effective because as someone watching this, an audience, I was lost in her speech after the beginning. She also assumed her audience knowledge of her subject when she should have informed throughout her presentation. Her speech was also not effective because she did not portray herself as confident in the subject, such as body language, playing with hair, swaying side to side, not using eye contact, and reading directly from the script. 4. Conclusion: Did the speaker end strongly? Why or why not? No, she did not restate her thesis, as well as concluded with “so yeah” and quickly left the podium after the speech. She did not summarize her reasoning for her speech and did not allow the audience to ask questions. As an audience, you could not differentiate between the introduction, body, and conclusion. 5. Presentation Aids: How did the speaker use presentation aids? There were no presentation aides used in the speaker’s speech. A slide show would have been essential to her presentation, so her audience could understand and see her main points. 6. Delivery: Was the delivery of the speech effective? Why or why not? Though she presented a lot of facts about marketing, she did not do so in a manner to interest her audience. An audience is more likely to grasp the idea of a speech when they are able to follow along, hear well, sense the enthusiasm of the speaker in the speech and have something to look at because everyone has a different learning style and a speech is

usually used to educated. Practice of her speech would have realized some nerves of public speaking as well as knowing her topic well would have helped her deliver her speech. Being passionate about a topic usually makes for great public speaking.
