PROCEDURE 1. Select one oyster shell 2. Examine the shell for 2 minutes then place on instructor’s table 3. Find the specific shell you just examined and return to your seat with the shell 4. Write your name on the index card and write a description of your shell (no drawings!) 5. Put the shell and index card into the bag at your table 6. Empty the shells carefully onto the table 7. Select an index card and use it to identify the corresponding oyster shell. Locate the author and verify your findings! 8. Return the index card and oyster shell to the author 9.
