generally not as good as private health care providers.Overall, I think that we need to find a solution that covers a majority of US citizenswhile also allowing freedom of choice. Between the Canadian and UK healthcare system, I would lean more towards adopting the practices of Canada.ReferencesUS vs Canadian Healthcare: What Are the Differences? (2018, March 29). Retrieved from Formosa Post. (2018, November 19). Pros and Cons of Universal Health Care in the United Kingdom. Retrieved February 19, 2019, from -universal-health-care-in-the-united-kingdom/CA vs US The UK’s system is just one of many examples of the different ways single-payer, government systems can work. n Canada, however, physicians are private providers rather than government employees. These providers see patients and charge insurance plans, just as they do in the US. In this instance, “Obamacare” vs. Canada Health Act have more similarities than differences.the ACA affords citizens certain rights, such as access to free preventative healthcare, and requires insurance to cover people with preexisting conditions. Benefits under the ACA must be renewed yearly. The ACA also removes lifetime limits on insurance benefits for health care services that are considered ‘essential’. It also protects your right to choose your own doctor.UK vs US “ In recent months, there have been several "Save the NHS" marches across Britain, where thousands have demonstrated to demand improved care and more funding for the health system.”The universal health care system needs to work for the benefit of all. This means that what it does actually needs to be cost effective. Sadly, this means that many drugs which could extend the life of a patient are not available through the system. This is because the NHS believes that the cost faroutweighs the benefit. The only way in which people are able to access these drugs is outside of the universal health care system. The universal health care system leaves citizen no choice to choose the physician or treatment that they want. In general,
government-provided care is somehow not as good as privatehealth care providers.Response 1:In Canada they are have having problems with the wait times for patients who need non-emergency surgeries. This can cause these patients to be at ahigher risk and deteriorate during the waiting period. Those that need priority care make the wait times for others very frustrating. This is a very serious issue for those with serious illnesses. The downside of the Canadian health care system is highly a matter of a political issue towards decision making strategy in terms of the direct involvement from the federal level, meaning the public system, or by private funding on the health care outcomes (Fermosa, 2018).The rationing of resources will not ever be able tobe completely equal for any specific individual (Health 2011).
