A workflow process that executes a set of operations upon calling an event. Interactive Flow. A workflow process that assists the end user in navigating across Siebel views. Long-Running Flow. A persistent workflow process that can last for hours, days, or months. 7.0 Flow. A workflow process that provides backward compatibility for a workflow that was defined earlier than version 7.7. The mode is set through the Workflow Mode property in the Workflow Processes OBLE in Siebel Tools. For more information, see “Types of Modes for a Workflow Process” on page 127 . How a Workflow Process Is Started A workflow process can be started from an event in the Siebel application or from an external system. The ways that a workflow process can be started within the Siebel application include: From a workflow policy From an event, such as an insert of a record or a button click By a server component This book describes how to start a workflow process through these mechanisms. Administration and Monitoring of a Workflow Process You can use the Administration-Business Process views in the Siebel client to administer and monitor a workflow process.
