Family dynamics are changing, with many families having both parents in the workforce. This is becoming a struggle to find a balance between time with children, personal time, and work life. A poor work-life balance does have an impact on the employer as well. o Employees that are struggling to get a good balance of work and personal life. This could have an effect on their work abilities.

C. Plan: Finding the right balance There is good news, but it will be hard to find the right balance between work and your personal life. As an employee you need to find what is important to them and not lose sight of it. This is essential to find a balance in social, recreational time, personal time, and family. An idea is, “Inquire about your company’s policies on flextime and working from home. If you’re a strong performer, you have a better chance of negotiating an arrangement that works for both you and your employer” (Smith, 2013). You must be vocal with your employer about stress within the workplace is important for an individual’s mental well-being.
