With the multiple studies showcased cellphone radiation does increase changes within the
brain and should be a more discussed topic. The research that is presented from the opposing
viewpoint is not strong enough even though coming from a reliable source the only statement
made to enforce the opposing viewpoint was “The World Health Organization found no increase
of rare brain tumors among cellphone users.” With the claim given it is a fallacy since there is no
evidence showing that cellphone radiation is not dangerous and gives no argument after making
the claim. There is a health risk with using cellphones and it shouldn’t be looked over since it is a
health concern and technology should be used with limitations. The brain's increase of glucose
while using a cellphone can potentially damage the brain with the repeated artificial stimulation
of electromagnetic radiation which could have a detrimental effect (Parker-Pope). Not only is
cellphone radiation messing with brain activity, but it also messes with sleep cycles (Parker-
Pope). If we continue to overlook the problem with technology and radiation emitted from them,
we could see more cases of cellphone caused brain tumors, and health effects related to
cellphone use.
