8/19/2020BUS 1101 - AY2020-T5: Discussion Forum Unit 410/37Customer.Customers, as a stakeholder in an organization are as important as the capital to set upsuch an organization, in that, they are very important and the organization can neverstrive without them. Customer’s importance and relevance cannot be over-emphasized.Coca-cola as a case study would not have been so famous and globally consumed if thecustomers did not purchase and cherish the product. The Coca-Cola company mustproduce several types of flavour and sizes to achieve the product satisfaction andacceptance by their customers globally without compromising the affordability. TheCoca-cola company is a global brand have varieties of products to suit several agesgroups, cultures and lifestyles worldwide, such as the energy drink and Poweradeproduced to capture the choice of the younger aged customers, while the gingerflavoured with zero sugar flavour is produced for the Chinese people who do notconsume sugary items and the aged. All these changes in flavour and sugar contentshave to be done to acquire more customer globally. To achieve this Coca-Cola havedone their assignment well by setting up a survey team to check what type of products, tastes, the flavour that their customers actually desire with their several socio-economic,age, ethnic, medical and cultural differences. Customer is always right, any product thataims a high international recognition and sales must put into consideration the choice ofseveral customers globally, which will increase their productivity and income if doneright. However, any organization that does not recognize its customers as a major stakeholderwill only produce a product that will be neglected by its expected customers because it'snot their choice, this might lead to the organization folding up quickly when they areunable to target the demand of their customers.InvestorsInvestors are also a major stakeholder in an organization, they decide how large, far andwide the organization will grow in the international market, they fund the organizationin anticipation of acquiring profit from the business, they get inspired by the positiveoutcome that comes from the production line, they get motivated by the revenue andincome they get from their investment, it encourages them to invest more and increasetheir stake in the organization. As we all know, investors are profit-driven. Just imaginehow much an investor in the Coca-Cola company would have made a profit since theproduct became the most widely consumed soda.Meanwhile, the investors could also get discouraged if the organization could not breakeven from their operations, investors will withdraw their shares or stake and quit doingbusiness with such company if they are not getting what they expected from thecompany.
