improve where needed to maintain compliance.The Staff Development dept is charged with the implementing the education to all of the stafffrom administration and the Medical Director to the nurses on the units. After recognizing the topperformers from each of the units, They will go through a train the trainer course to assist the ease of the transition. They will also provide support for each unit to assist with the implementation. The Director of Rehabilitation and the Director of Nursing will be educated on their role in reducing waste, providing the most accurate treatments and equipment needed to insure success to rehabilitation patients. Their roles will also include staffing the areas with a balance of employees to insure the new regulations will be effective. All of this education will take at least 3 months to complete. The staff education will be ongoing to current staff and will be specific training during orientation of new staff with in the first year. There will be continuing education models to be completed by all patient care staff each year to maintain compliance.This is a universal plan that will affect every dept on every level. Training will be supported by the data statistics gathered by the MDS department from patient records (not violating HIPPA) to educate the staff on the changes to be made and the why. This will give a clear understanding of the VBP plan to aid in a smoother implementation. By the end of the second

Therapy department will be providing safe and effective therapy specific to each patient with proper training on any and all assistive devices to be used by the patient or family caregivers. The physicians taking care of the patients will need to assist with controlling pain, nausea, anxiety or any other type of needs communicated by the nurses to assist in making the patient experience as positive as possible yet effective. The physician will have a full understanding of the need for followup appointments and an order for this will become an admitting order to be completed at discharge. C3 Necessary education and training.Being able to achieve the goals of the departments and overall the implementation of the VBP financial plan, it will be necessary to recruit other departments for the education and training of the current and all new staff coming in. The educational information provided for the purpose and the effects of the VBP plan will be the responsibility of the finance department. The employees of this department will assure the accuracy of the information used in training, and they will be monitoring the effectiveness of the program. The first step will be to train top performers from each department as they will assist in training and managing the program once in place. This education provided to the nurses and the Therapists in the form of mandatory training classes scheduled on campus during times that all shifts will have an opportunity to attend.
