The new board was introduced to UCSA, Robert's Rules, and System-wide issues. - Aside from the introduction to UCSA, topics discussed included: potential structural changes within the UCSA Board of Directors and the nomination of UCSA’s Executive Board Members. - I was nominated for President and Board Chair of UCSA. - Caught up on logistical work and deadlines for the UC Student Organizing Summit. I booked the hotel rooms and began the process for a cash advance. - I asked the Officers if they could join me in reading the Student Organizing Summit applications on July 15th. Only Tamra Owens, Maxine Jimenez, and Alice Malmberg agreed to joining me. July 11, 2017 - SUA Officers finally held their first Officer meeting at 2:30pm. - We each updated each other on what we were all working on. - I brought up the Student Organizing Summit and explained that under SUA budget, UC Student Organizing Summit has relatively the smallest budget set aside. Thus making it difficult to take a lot of students.
