So far in what you’ve read and in what you’ve experienced in life, does it seem odd or offensive to see Jesus Christ as the foundation for life and meaning? Even after the readings I do not think it is odd to think of God as the foundation for life. God is the one piece of structure and balance within my life. He is the reason for my life and the one who shows guidance throughout whether it be in personal or business oriented situations. STEP 3 Have your answers to either of the last two questions changed after reading article 3? No, none of my questions have changed, my beliefs are instilled in my thinking. Now that you’ve read all of the articles, how has your view of meaning, ethics and your own worldview changed? What questions or comments do you have about what you’ve read? After completing all three reading my views on ethics and worldview remain the same. I do not feel that the readings spoke in opposite to my beliefs, however I did gain more knowledge and learned new terminology. God serves as the leader for all and although not everyone may praise and follow God, there is some form of higher power in which they can relate to as their solid foundation. He has a purpose for all creations and a plan to address everything including the good and evil, we should not question his judgement but know whatever happens is a part of the plan. PERSONAL WORLDVIEW & BUSINESS ETHICS 7 Business Ethical Practices Introduction Ethics is a term in which is used in business organizations to determine is someone behaving in the correct or incorrect way. “It tells us whether our behavior is moral or immoral and deals with fundamental human relationships- how we think and behave towards others and how we want them to think and behave towards us” [Law141]. Ethical principles within the work place could include helping fellow co-workers, telling the truth, or just showing respect. On the other hand there are many employees who are part of organizations who operate under unethical practices and techniques such a bribery, lying, or discrimination. Operating effectively and ethically can help to not only retain employees but promote productivity amongst the organization while meeting the demands of all stakeholders involved.
