Race: - “They included the most popular faiths (Baptist and Methodist came to contain two-thirds of America’s professing Protestants)” (Murrin 277). The quote shows race because it focuses mainly on Americans. - “Those who attended were members of the urban elite, and nearly all the plays, managers, and actors were English” (Murrin 281). In this quote is tells us that the only people who participated were elite English white males.
