Secondly, the operant conditioning deals with operants - intentional actions that have an effect on the surrounding environment. B. F. Skinner set out to identify the processes which made certain operant behaviours more or less likely to occur. (Saul McLeod, 2007) This learning theory argues that people’s behaviours depend on the result they might get after the behave. People behave to get something like rewards or to avoid something like punishments. The tendency of repeating a particular behaviour depends on reinforcement or lack of reinforcement. For example, Madam Leong should be practising operant conditioning by giving rewards to those who behave in the right way or performing good on the work. On the other hand, Madam Leong should punish those who performs poorly or behaving wrongly on work like always late to work with the right action like giving them a warning letter. Lastly, the social-learning theory Albert Bandura (1977) agrees with the behaviourist learning theories of classical conditioning and operant conditioning . However, he adds two important ideas mediating processes occur between stimuli & responses and behaviour is learned from the environment through the process of observational learning. (Saul McLeod, 2011) This theory claims that people also learn

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
