ocean, especially when 70% of the earth’s surface is covered in it”(Bureau of Reclamation, 2017). What if there was a way that was possible to make that 70% of the water on the earth drinkable water? There are plenty of people in the world who have the option to choose their water based off of price, filtered, bottled, convenience. However, there is still a vast majority of people who do not have a choice of what kind of water they get to choose from. In fact, there is avast majority of people in the world who may not even have access to clean and fresh water. There are several countries in the world such as Mexico, Congo, Ethiopia, and Uganda. (McPhillips 2017) What if there was a way for these countries to use the ocean water surrounding them in order to create a filtered water?
It is clear that there needs to be a solution in order to obtain the ocean water in order to create a reliable drinking source of fresh water. The only way for this solution currently is desalination. However, there is a problem with this process. This process is a complicated process that actually damages the marine life because of the waste that is put back into the ocean.However, what if there was a new way to create this ocean salt water into fresh, clean, and refreshing filtered water. Behold, now there is a way to save these countries around the world.
