religions. This idea is represented in the novel through the character of Rae. While the second point of view of the writer concerning the definition of coexistence is how the main character, whose name is Sammar, could deal with the other culture after the death of her husband and coexist in a different country with her restriction or commitment to her religion. This idea could be represented in many situations with the main character and another character whose name is Yasmin. Secondly how those ideas of coexistence could be represented in those characters and those situations? Concerning the first idea of coexistence which is the respect between the East and West, and looking to each other without hatred, or putting into consideration any differences of religions or beliefs. This idea is represented in Rae as he is looking to Sammar without outing in consideration her religion he is different than other orientalists, not like as Yasmin looks at him when she said “ He is an orientalist.” While Sammar did not like this word. As he also had many situations proves that he can represent this idea of coexistence as he would show her the university of Azhar thesis he wanted her to work on. While in return she would give him the Qudsi hadiths. Besides the discussion between Ray and Sammar about the Islam and Capitalism which shows harmony between both of them. This atmosphere which the writer created in the novel was her point of view concerning coexistence concerning this Idea.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
