This preview shows page 9 - 12 out of 13 pages.

ROBERT: I can't believe this. Where is this coming from? It's like it's not even you. You know what if you're not in this then leave. There's nothing left for you here. I'll do this on my own. CHARLES: Part of me believed that you would understand. That you would put everything aside and see the bigger picture. I guess the picture is not big enough for you. Charles puts on his cap. Looks at Robert straight in the eyes with sorrow. Without losing eye contact exits the house. ROBERT: (Shouts) Go to hell! What do you know! Robert angrily grabs a sample and throws it shattering in all directions. He attempts to calm down by taking deep breathes. He grabs another sample and studies it. He continues this process as his breathing eases. ROBERT: (CONT’D) I don't believe it. It's oil. In the forest?

9. A knock is heard. Tap. Tap. Tap. ROBERT: (CONT’D) Charles? Is it you? LEIDE: No, it's Leide. ROBERT: Oh god. Sorry Leide. I forgot you were coming by. LEIDE: It's okay. You alright? You don't look so good. ROBERT: We need to talk. It's urgent. Robert catches up Leide on his latest discover. LEIDE: Wow! Omg! Rob. You're going to be huge. ROBERT: (monotone voice) I suppose right? I'll be credited for discovering the tribe and the oil reservoir. LEIDE: You'll be someone now. People will know of you. You'll be the big picture. ROBERT: Big picture? LEIDE: Yeah, you know you won't be a nobody anymore. CHARLES: A nobody? LEIDE: I meant that in a good way of course. ROBERT: Right. Thanks I guess.

10. LEIDE: Well what are you waiting for? Why don't you sign in online and report your findings. ROBERT: Well what about what Charles said. LEIDE: What does Charles know! People will eventually find them. Besides they’ll have better lives as regular people. Rob, I could help you. I can work with you and help direct the documentary. We could be partners again like we were back in college. Wouldn’t you like that? ROBERT: Ehh.. I. I can't even form sentences. LEIDE: I can help you. Just tell me where the tribe is located and I can sign in online and do the presentation for you. Look at this sample. Do you remember where you got this from? Robert doesn’t answer. He looks down. FLASHBACK- EXT. AMAZON FOREST Splash. Splash. Playful giggles. The shining sun through the trees. Kids and mothers play at the waterfall. END FLASHBACK LEIDE: (Grabs Robert’s hand) Maybe I can stay the night here? Help you with your tense shoulders. Afterall stress can kill you. ROBERT (V.O.): Stress. Kill. Destruction. Ending people’s lives. ROBERT: Leide, I think it’s best we meet tomorrow morning at eight. I’ve had a long day.

11. LEIDE: What about the deadline? ROBERT: Yeah. I'll do that right after you leave. I should be the one presenting this. You know it will look better. Of course I'll ask them about you and the documentary you have in mind.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
