Difference 5 Qualitative data is can give you a look into people’s thoughts, feelings, emotions, and so on. Quantitative can help you become more certain about a trend that has been occuring. It provides facts. Qualitative research also develops an initial understanding of something while quantitative provides a solution and direct answer. Example 1 For example, if you are wondering why more women enter a store than men, you can use Qualitative research. You can use in-depth interviews of some potential male customers. They would be selected from other local stores and shopping malls. This would reveal some of the reasons the store has more women than men, and help come up with a plan to solve it. Example 2 For example, you can use a survey to conduct quantitative research. Researchers can find out which item needs to be improved and which item works best from a company by looking at the sales from 2018. Whichever item sold best is the front runner and the item sold least needs to be improved. You can also ask customers which item they felt worked best at home and outside. You can also start the survey for this year of 2019 and go based on what is selling the most currently and in a couple weeks/months.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
