a.) Our experience was primarily “the sociological eye” rather than “sociological activism.” The sociological eye portion included watching the interaction from the outside in, and noticing whether the expression of gratitude of the recipient seemed genuine or forced. You can never forget to pay attention to what happens after the interaction takes place because that’s when you see the more real expressions of each party. The recipient seemed confused/shocked, while the doer left the scene with the same feeling we had when we first walked in. The experience was uncomfortable at first because neither of us knew what to do with the situation, so once it was over, both of us had an awkward expression on our face. We mostly observed the interaction that took place and were not really motivated by a cause to do such actions. b.
