DCA had replaced the failed parts in the cars with new ones, the mechanics were only following the symptoms that were already apparent in the cars, which is what caused the misdiagnosis. After a reinvestigation, Sears was still found to be overselling calipers, which brought up the auto repair fraud problem again. Both parties, the DCA and Sears started negotiations, but are still unable to reach a settlement. Assessment of performance pressures on Brennan and Lundegard For Brennan, as the CEO of Sears, the performance pressure seems to be somewhat higher than the pressure placed upon John Lundegard as the head of the Sears Auto Service Centers, mostly because Brennan seems to have more on his plate comparatively, although both men have their jobs on the line when it comes to how well their respective areas perform. For Brennan, he has the complaints of the stockholders to pressure him into making changes that will improve performance. Investors were even blatantly calling for his job if things did not progress, however it is hard to make a quick fix to rectify the situation and any long-term solutions may be too late. Because Brennan is in charge of the day-to-day dealings of the retail giant, his job seems to be of more significance than Lundegard’s. Lundegard is in charge of the least profitable of all of the Merchandising sectors, which is what made his job all the more challenging and made this section of even more importance in the attempt to turnaround Sears’ recent slump in performance. This makes his job all the more urgent, although maybe not as much so compared to Brennan.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
