Exposing themselves to diseases that they may not be immune to. 3. What are some of the challenges in designing enclosures for captive animals? Why do you think the enclosures are so important? Enclosures play a big role in the health and wellbeing of the animal. It can cause stress and increase susceptibility to illnesses if it doesn’t reflect well on their habitat. Also the type of materials used within the enclosure can cause sanitation issues, problems with parasites and issues concerning animals digging themselves out of its enclosure.
