As compared to previous years, youngsters are more into manufacturing, technology and export. Digital media is one of the platforms that empowered them into entrepreneurship. Such an emerging scenario provides tremendous business opportunities for new entrepreneurs who have innovative ideas. Making use of these opportunities, innovative startups encouraged People. with government support for ideation and incubation of the innovative business ideas and to provide access to finance. Enhanced access to a startup ecosystem and finance for students and entrepreneurs will result in a successful outcome in terms of income generation and employment creation. Entrepreneurship in India - Then and Now 5-04-2017 by M Suresh Rao The article discusses the reason that there are several reasons behind becoming successful entrepreneurs, in India like in education, support of govt., Financial support etc. but still they also face lots of hurdle like lack of self-confidence and old and other societal issues. Schemes of promotion & development of entrepreneurship also started for the growth of entrepreneurs in India. OBJECTIVE OF RESEARCH The study is based on secondary data collected from the published reports and Census Surveys, Newspapers, Journals, websites, etc. The study was planned with the following objectives: To find out the role of govt schemes on start up in contribution on economic development. To examine the factors responsible for encouraging people to become successful entrepreneurs. To study the opportunity and prospect from start-up India, stand-up India schemes for new startup. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY 1. Literature Review 2. Secondary data research and analysis The study deals with the secondary data from various books, journals, online journals, articles, etc. The data are collected with respect to startup enterprises and the benefits of start -up schemes and the challenges faced by enterprise are carefully analyzed. The major object of the study has been fulfilled by referring to various articles and other secondary resources. DATA ANALYSIS QUANTITATIVE THE STARTUP SCENARIO IN INDIA It is to be noted that every year more than 800 technology startups are being set up and expected to increase to 2000 in 2020 in India. By 2020, it is estimated that around 11,500 tech-startups are going to be established with employment potential of around 250,000 technical people (NASSCOM, 2015). It is admirable to note that India is amongst the top five countries in the world in terms of startups with 10,000+ led by US with 83,000+ comprising 43% tech-based firms with 9% managed by women entrepreneurs and approx. 50% growth in share of female enterprises in last one year. The number of incubators also has crossed 100 in 2014-15 to give boost to the startup (Grant Thornton, 2015).
