broken when bound together, but easily broken when loosed together. In the Great seal of the United
States of America, the symbol is denoted in it, as there is an eagle holding tightly 13 arrows.
In the Albany Plan of Union in 1754, Franklin made reference to the Iroquois Great law, He also invited
the Congress members of the Iroquois confederacy to speak to the Continental Congress. This was in
1776.
Personal thoughts
The Haudenosaunees are cofounders of the America which was initially and experiment. The founders of
America saw how the Iroquois people lived peacefully amongst their selves, abiding to their informal
democratic process, living in equality, and the strong alliance the people formed. Canassatego played an
important role in America but he is denied his place as one of founding fathers of America. He was a
troubleshooter and someone who brought different people together under a common principle, yet his
name has been erased from history, because the less wise Americans claim the Native people could not
create a sophisticated system and ignored to be inspired by the Iroquois confederacy.
