According to one of Walden’s academic videos, scholarly writing should be based on evidence, not assumptions or opinions and the overall objective is “to uncover and present evidence that reveal a truth” (Laureate Education, Inc., 2018). In the future, I will continue to use the Walden Library, specifically EBSCO Host, when searching for evidence-based research articles, and will apply my findings to my own work. Becoming a profound scholarly writer will help me demonstrate to my specific audience what I have learned and the ability to apply these findings to the nursing population as an advanced practicing nurse.
