There are a huge disconnect and the trouble between the agencies while they are attempting to collaborate with service like in Serious and Violent Offender Reentry Initiative (SVORI) The research provides the changed attitude of the ways in which society and even the professional think about the entire process of reentry into the community ( Vesey, Ostermann & Lanterman, 2014). Therefore they have provided the proofs for the implementation of programs like such and they are all aimed at the reduction of the cases of recidivism. The Violent Offender Reentry Initiative (SVORI) is termed to be a very pivotal initiative that has been at the forefront to pave ways in the ways in which the other programs are implemented. These other programs are like the Prisoner Reentry Initiative and on the other hand Marriage and Incarceration Act, and the Second Chance Act. The congress has also enacted the Prisoner Reentry Initiative (PRI) that was worth $300 million dollars that was even supported by president bush in the year 2004. This program was managed by the ministry of labor and it was involved in giving labor to violent offenders. Prisoner Reentry Initiative (PRI) helped the ex-offender to be able to secure

This assessment of the rates of recidivism then reduced by a substantial amount from 44% to 20% which was the initial recidivism rate. In addition to that, Prisoner Reentry Initiative (PRI) also offered other offers like: Transitional housing Job placement Job training The most unique of this approach has been the fact that it offers the peer mentor in the community as well as trying to integrate the faith into the community groups that will all help to assist the ex-offenders as they transit. Through that, there are other initiatives that were implemented since the ex-offender needs faith-based programs as well as housing and treatment from the abuse of substance and mental health service. Other than these initiatives there are other programs and factors that need to be put into practice so that they can help to impact the nature of the prison and the ways in which the transition happens back to the community ( Mann, Bond & Powitzky, 2011). This is an encouragement that happens when we see these policies being enacted so that they can help to fully meet the needs of the prisoners and in addition to that the creation of the programs that shows the effectiveness of the community-based agencies. There are initiative and policies that are passed in regard to Marriage and Incarceration, the Marriage and Incarceration Initiative required the funding of around $30 million.
