Union. Economic struggle of European nations Recently, many members of the European Union such as Greece, Spain, and Italy went through severe economic depression. Large scale of social welfare and the early retirement age of these countries led to the bankruptcy of the government. Large financial aids are being given to these countries from the European Union and its members. Some members are thinking about dropping out of the European Union. What is the relationship between each of the political and economic situations that you have outlined above? The European Union is a supranational body that has been in existence for only a short amount of time. During the years, there were political and economic optimism. However, there is rather skepticism recently. What are some common public police issues in the state? Economic (performance and development): Trade specialization, free trade, financial aids to the member states in severe economic depression Social Welfare (Education, health, poverty): There is no specific social welfare given solely by the European Union. Environment: Setting new ground rules for fishery areas and other areas of natural resources. Population and migration: Providing refugee protection for those who migrate from their states to flee fro oppression. How do the following factors influence public policy? Domestic: There are no domestic policies for the European Union. International: The current struggle of EU’s member states is putting the ability of EU to a test. Successful measures are yet to be found.
