The factors driving this change include improved patient outcomes, improved patient discharge time and improved patient satisfactionThe Patient safety outcome measure will be a reduction of patient falls by increasing the Fall Risk assessment intervals to every 15 minutes post procedure with anesthesia. The supporting factors driving this change is a decrease in the patient length of stay, a decrease in patient mortality & morbidity. Also, an increase in patient safety by identifying at-risk patients resulting in improved treatment outcomes. Unit specific shared governance will address the employee engagement outcome measure. The supporting factors driving this change are an increase in nurse retention and staff empowerment which will result in an increase in patient satisfaction as perceived by favorable HCAHPS. B1. The drivers will result in increased patient satisfaction with a timelydischarge post procedure, adherence to individualized patient care plan resulting in increased HCAHPS for the facility and CMS reimbursement for services provided.
